The non accident story is possibly the most stupid thing I’ve read all week.

 

Daum shamrock trucking company took a hit. RIP driver.

 

My first thought was "then get better loads or stop buying overpriced crap fool" my second was "welp more loads for me!" Heh

 

Yup. My thoughts too. CDL life is great in reporting shock horror, terrible on educated industry viewpoints.

 

That’s what gets the page clicks
Every news network and nearly every web site exists for one reason and one reason only .
To make as much money as possible.
This site included , since it’s covered with ads from trucking companies begging for drivers to replace the ones that lost because they treated them like garbage .

that’s why every story is hyped up
That’s why the reporters in the weather Channel paddle a canoe while people walk by in the background in ankle deep water

Or stand in a ditch, to make the flood look more dramatic . Thus getting more clicks and views and more

i remember when diesel went over a buck a gallon for the first time .
I thought about selling my rig because I couldn’t imagine any way to make a profit with fuel so expensive …

and there’s no trucks in Europe where diesel is super expensive because if they taxes they add on .

 

####, when I had my trucks, the higher fuel went, the more I made.... thank God for surcharge.

 

I remember the loggers talking like the world was gonna end when diesel hit $0.55/litre back in like 1996 lol.

 

I remember 15 years ago when truckers were up in arms when diesel prices went up to $3.00 dollars a gallon! There was talk then about shutting down the country. Naturally that didn’t happen. Some O/Os figured out they could compensate by increasing their fuel surcharge.lol
