That's not my point. You don't have to just accept this B-12 problem. Get lab work done at least once a year and see what the B-12 levels are. If they are low, start taking a B-12 supplement. The Endocrinologist who is prescribing my Dexcom G-7 and the Omnipod 5 Insulin pump at our first appointment ordered labs that included the B-12 levels and told me to start taking a B-12 supplement.
This next part is for anybody interested. According to my Endocrinologist, if your medical professional prescribes Metformin and does not follow up with a careful watch for B-12 levels, they are not providing first-level service to you. In my comment #29, I linked directly to a PDR page about Metformin. I have observed several pharmacists advise a patient filling a Metformin prescription to make sure they are taking a B-12 supplement.

Also adding exercise would be very beneficial, and the most beneficial form of diabetes reversing exercise would be frequent small amounts all day long. For example if you did 10 body weight squats every hour 10 times a day, it would be far more beneficial than 1 30 minutes walk. So the opposite of what you want to do with eating. Eat less often bigger amounts, exercise more often smaller amounts.
