Probably assembly line parts needed for new trucks that have been on a 6 month back order. No big deal. Lol!

Usaully, any extra stuff goes to our OSD folks. But, on occasion, it isn't worth the bother. I've ended up with 3 half gallon jugs of Simply Limade (which I didn't care for) and a case of Almond Joy's made with dark chocolate. That was like 144 Almond Joy bars. Kids, their mother and I had them around for about 3 months before we finally ate them all, and I gave 1 box to the folks back at the office. Always good strategy to share the wealth with strategic folks!!!
Opus, Cattleman84, Brettj3876 and 3 others Thank this. -

If receiver signed BoL, he got what he wanted, might be overload.
Once had a case of waffles left.
9 stopper.
Last receiver didn't want them, blueberry waffles.
They said donate them to city.
I went to truck stop, told them, i had the case, fix me some waffles, I’ll give you the case.
They said “Go get em,”
They had a breakfast special, I got free breakfast, in New York at that.D.Tibbitt, Cattleman84, Lacey514 and 1 other person Thank this. -
The first question to ask is did the receiver sign for everything or did they note a partial refusal on the bill? In the later case you are still responsible for the cargo until the shipper decides what to do with it. In the former it's yours to dispose of and what nobody knows won't hurt them.

They signed for everything. -
So he closed the doors, then opened the doors and didn't notice there was product on the truck???
Opus Thanks this. -
Having delivered truck parts, before forming an opinion one way or the other as to the driver making a mistake, I would want to see a pic of the parts.
Could be they weren't on a pallet and may have been laying on the floor (wrapped in paper, maybe some bubble wrap if the shipper got fancy and spent a buck fifty) at the front of the trailer.
The kid on the forklift making $12 an hour didn't see them, or just didn't care to get out of his seat.
Sometimes the trailers innards can be hard to see the front of, especially if the sun is hitting just right.
