For the most part... rates for reefers are better in summer than winter, but over the full 12 month cycle, $2 per mile average is pretty doable...

By the way $2 per mile is not a good rate anymore due to inflation

I'm averaging $2.19/mi for all miles. And I've driven in 43 of the 48 contiguous states. Also have deadheaded quite a bit at times. Get paid well. Right now, I'm headed to Florida for $3.02/mi loaded. Paid more than enough to bounce out all the way to Atlanta and still make $2.05/mi total.

Are you owner operator? Who do yo get work from at $3.02 load

that's interesting rates.

those rates are not that uncommon. especially running to Florida. I don't always get 3 bucks, but do always get over 2.30/ mile to go into the sunshine state. and if I didn't live down here I wouldn't consider it for under 2.50. those are to the truck, after mercer's cut
