lol....I used an outfit like that one time & it worked. I received fantastic job references. They had phone numbers and would even give financial figures as to how much I was supposedly making. They would even furnish pay stubs for an additional fee. Don't remember the name of the company now; there's several of them. Did it several years ago. My first cousin did something similar and got a fake business degree and landed a job in upper management of a textile mill & retired from the place. He was smart enough to pull it off with the vocabulary and language skills he had. He did good; high school grad/hellraiser with 101st Airborne Division/upper management in textile mill.

I had the same issue when I got started a year ago, I was a care taker for an ill family member and well nobody wanted anything to with that.
Only garbage companies offered me a job.. Werner and Schneider.. plus another unknown company all at .26CPM.

I put up with it for 7 months, after 7 months I had tons of job offers and moved on. Came to Crete and I'm earning double of my first trucking job.

I would avoid halvor lines too, unless you want to move close to the frozen hellhole of Duluth and Superior. Or maybe if you really want to sharpen your brown nosing skills.

Only their 30 or 40 "hollywood" drivers get big miles of any kind there, let alone runs to California.

Unless you are willing to spend nearly every week on I80/90/76 Turnpike, deliver to the east coast and sit for two days, lose your mileage bonus and have your dispatcher complain that you arent putting out enough miles.

I dont know why you keep recomending them.

They hire new CDL graduates. Students in CDL school need options to choose from; not just the usual suspects. Which companies do you recommend? JBLittle has limited options, so what do you recommend?

Halvor has 310 trucks plus another 50 in Sue Vinje refrigerated division. Surely they're not all sitting in the Northeast.

He just needs 6-12 months OTR where ever he can get it, then he can move on. Same scenario "freightwipper" had to go through.

They didnt hire them when i worked there, maybe that changed?

He may have to move out of CA, I dont really know much about the companies out there.

Millis wouldnt be that bad for a brand new driver, but they dont go to Commiefornia enough and I dont know if they will take new studwnt graduates from another school.

From my experience Halvor Lines cant keep their trucks moving consistantly, that can make for some low paychecks at 30 cents a mile, especially if you dont end up getting a mileage bonus.

Millis is good, but they don't hire new CDL grads except from their own school. They do hire drivers with one yr. experience though. They run Eastern half of USA. A few drivers posted they were offered jobs with Halvor during CDL school.

    This is from Halvor website:

    • A minimum of one (1) year experience in the operation of tractor/trailer equipment or (the equivalent with certified schooling and Halvor Lines, Inc. Apprentice Training Program).

Super Service, SRT, AND western express I would flip burgers before going there.

Im all for someone getting their foot in the door and getting experience...but you have to have some standards and expectations even as a student to be treated like a human.

There are multiple threads on here explaining just why to avoid these 3. If you die in your truck, dont expect SRT to care, unless their load is late.

They just want your "gaps" accounted for. Fill in the gaps, and you're good. Already been told what you need to do to substantiate the gap issue.....so do it.
