Renewing CDL w/HazMat also add Tanker endorsement

When you get your CDL you take a written test for all endorsements that you are receiving. When you renew your CDL you only take a written test for HazMat and any endorsements you are adding.

I've been using the Crist Online Testing Center for reviewing the questions to renew my HazMat Endorsement the last few times I renewed. I recently found another website that seems to have ALL of the possible questions for ALL of the written tests. I don't know if the moderator allows links to other websites. I am not affiliated with either website, other than I have used them. I found that the Crist OTC had 7 of the practice HazMat tests. The Trucker Country website had 11 HazMat tests. Just Google Crist OTC CDL Tests or Trucker Country Practice Tests. I'm including the links below but the Moderator may see fit to remove the links.

I only haul dry vans but rules for transporting liquid material in containers inside of dry vans have changed since I last renewed my CDL and under certain conditions you may require a Tanker Endorsement to pull a dry van with liquid containers inside. My company has requested all of their drivers to add the Tanker Endorsement when renewing their CDL. The two websites below have practice tests for the Tanker Endorsement. It's only a 20 question test and you can miss 4 questions. The HazMat test is 30 questions and you can miss 6.

I used to administer written tests in another industry and have a recommendation for quickly passing these multiple-choice tests. Read the question and ONLY read the correct answer. Do this as many times as you need so the question is familiar, no need to memorize every word. The goal is just to recognize the question and see which of the possible answer is familiar or possibly recognizing the questions prompts you to mentally blurt out the key bit of the answer. For example when you see a question about railroad crossings and the word "stop" you should mentally blurt out 15 to 50 feet. Reading the "distracting" wrong answers is poison. Don't do it. Read only the correct answer to questions. Both websites give the answers to every one of their questions.

You included the links to help other members, so I certainly don't want to remove them. However, I would like to point out that TTR has some practice tests, as well. :biggrin_25525:

If I still lived in Nashville, would apply with A&R Transport. They have a loading facility at the rail yard in Nashville.

Using the TTR practice tests is what helped me pass the big three tests plus my tanker, doubles+triples, and hazmat. The practice test questions and answers were very similar to the ones I encountered at the testing center.
