I looked into the Williams Dairy and found in Hazelhurst a Williams Brothers Trucking.. which I have seen before a lot in SE GA. Wondering if anyone has, or have heard of someone with any experience with them?

Oh.., I did search them up.., no doubt. But WBT in Hazelhurst looks like might be a closer chance on a Job and I really have no experience doing tanks. -
Everyone thinking of retirement either soon or years from now should go to the Social Security website.
ssa.gov. You need to establish your account with a password and then you can see every dime that's been contributed and paid in. There are "tests" to show what retirement benefits would be or if you need to keep on working to meet your retirement demands. It's never to early to check it out...peace.Murdock Thanks this. -
Grab yourself a government job. You can take your DD form 214 and add onto your retirement from the army.
Example: Get a job with the post office, in 3 years you'll be able to retire with 22 years. By the way, the post office is a good enough job that you might decide to make another career out of it. Many of the drivers I work with are ex-military doing exactly that. You would be right at home here.Last edited: Dec 23, 2014
Murdock Thanks this. -
You may check with your local Commercial Driving Schools, they hire instructors and pay around $3000.

Another thing is even though you logged the 400k miles safe in the military, do NOT expect any civilian company to give you any kind of credit for those miles unless you can verify them and provide a log book proving the mileage. I have had friends try with memo's and letters from all the way up to Division 66 and with no success. So as some companies may have "veteran apprenticeship" programs, it only refers to you being a vet and nothing to do with your MOS.
Wish you the best boss, I just got out of Ft Stewart last year around February, medically retired and now OTR full time because no locals around here would touch ANYONE without at least 2 yrs OTR experience.
I wish you the best brother.Murdock Thanks this. -
I don't know who told you that pile of shenanigans, but CDL instructors don't make anywhere close to $3k a week.
Roadmaster here in Indianapolis just had a job seminar for instructors, and the pay was around $14/hr. -
I'm not sure if someone got their wires crossed or not, but I was looking at 2k take home a month., not per week. Just wanted to make sure everyone is tracking that. Thanks!
chris886 Thanks this.
