    From the Nevada CDL website...

"Road tests will be conducted in accordance with FMCSA-approved guidelines with the examiner monitoring the subject's performance from a second vehicle. This will remain in effect until September 30, 2020."

So how does this work? How do I know to turn right, stop, or whatever?

    Trucker61016 Thanks this.

He will probably send you text while your driving with instructions.
If you have any questions just shoot him a text back.
Always remember to keep one hand on the wheel while texting and driving or he may take some points off for unsafe texting.

Seriously.... We don’t have the slightest idea how they plan to pull that off.
One thing is for sure..., it will be COVID compliant. :laughing-guffaw:

    Trucker61016 and Hulld Thank this.

Its almost February 2021. I doubt it'll apply since they say it only lasted until 4 months ago.

you are reading it wrong. There is more to it than that. You cant drive a cdl truck on the road with a learners permit without a licensed driver/examiner in the cab.

    Found this https://dmvnv.com/pdfforms/cdl-skills-testing-05152020.pdf

    Road Test:

All applicants will be required to have a licensed driver that holds a valid CDL with same class and endorsements as the applicant, for the Road Test portion of the exam. Please be advised your appointment will be cancelled if you cannot provide a driver for the test, and rescheduling is subject to the DMV’s availability.

A Cell Phone with speaker capabilities is now required for the Skills Test. Applicants must have a charged cell phone capable of making and holding a phone call for the duration of the test (DMV is not responsible any cell phone charges). Incoming calls are not to be accepted during testing. - Applicant must verbally describe drive test maneuvers being performed. (i.e. shifting, head checks etc.)
