So I start orientation on the 28th with Roehl.

I was pretty much set on Reefer running the 7/4 7/3 schedule.

Well today my recruiter told me if I did Midwest Regional I could take my truck home vs. slip seating with 3 other drivers between 2 trucks. Pay is $0.01 less to do regional and would be home for my reset vs. for 3 or 4 days.

My question is am I gonna lose a lot of miles doing the regional? If you run either of these please share your experience.

I don't work there, but I researched them when I was looking. The 7/3 7/4 is basically part time trucking. It's good if you want a lot of home time but don't expect a lot of miles.

Probably 25k a year with that home time. I doubt they get more miles than otr. Seem otr does longer run while regional probably 400 miles run base on my experience doing both but maybe that's just me

They also offer a 7 on 7 off schedule. I guy I went to school with signed up with them because they told him he could make $ 800 to $1000 a week, and the idiot thought he would get that every week even when he didn't work. I bet he was dissapointed.

I will most likely switch to the 7/7 next October thru November so I have a ton of off time for hunting.

Obviously these schedules don't work for people who have bills to pay.

rachi, Bob Dobalina and chris887 Thank this.
