I don't think the type of behavior the OP has should be encouaged. I don't see anything wrong with that people have said.

It's the bad attitude..I'm willing to bet that with that atititude, which will get you in trouble in due time will spell disaster at fedex.....DrtyDiesel, Joetro, joseph1135 and 1 other person Thank this. -

The tail swing can get you in trouble, but I guess they don't teach them that in school...
And if it was just scratches like she said, don't think she would have felt it...joseph1135 and Joetro Thank this. -
Trying to sue is a waste of time. If it's not in written then it's questionable.

As as far as that 3rd preventable. Sure there is no way of knowing what really happened. But as mentioned before the OP had no idea that you need to check and make sure there is no gap under the trailer before backing under and jumping the kingpin. So despite getting out and looking 3 times, who's to say that she has any idea that the trailer actually BACKS UP while making a u turn and could have easily hit that parked truck when she thought she was clear?joseph1135, DrtyDiesel and flyingmusician Thank this. -

xcountry,i see that you have many detractors and naysayers. this is a forum for truckers so there you go. my post is that I think that you will find another job if you haven't already but you will have to be steadfast and relentless.
best of luck. -
If getting stuck in mud is considered a preventable, then I guess I have 3 now.
The first was when I crunched a fender while backing my second week as solo. Stupid yellow pole that hid between mirrors when I wasn't looking properly...
The other two were getting caught in mud.
I felt so stupid with the mud that I called, and paid for, the tow trucks to get me out.
No damage to the truck either time.
$300 bucks (each time) out of pocket is worth not having to call the company for assistance, and having another preventable on my record.
And over being stuck in the mud? It (I) was SO stupid!
G.O.A.L. That is all I would have had to do.
If you can jump on it and you sink a little - the truck will sink a LOT more.
