And with this I'm tapping. I'm out. Good luck. With your attitude and being as clueless as to what you've done, there's nothing I nor anyone else can say. You're not willing to learn and blaming everyone else but you. Good luck.

um what? Are you saying I should have called in sick at Werner or taken a couple days off from Werner and gone to orientation at Knight and when I was told I wasn't getting a job because of the preventables, just gone back to Werner?

I don't know of anyone that stays employed at one place, while starting work for another (unless it's just a couple of part time jobs) And that doesn't matter what industry it is in. So I'm not sure what you're talking about it because it makes absolutely no sense at all.

yeah, I already got work with a FedEx contractor pulling doubles as a team. In the end it all works out for the better, because I'm making much more money that I was at Werner and I still have 2 days off, just not on the weekends anymore. Making $1250 a week. I start Monday at 9 am. BG/MVR/DAC are already done, drug test is done, my current DOT Card is still valid, so didnt have to do that. I just have orientation and a road test to do. I have no problem passing a road test.

You are right about that... I did not go to a CDL school, I drove across Montana a total of 5 times over a period of a year with my old boss. Never had a trainer either unless you count my old boss of which I do not. He was incompetent at best and is out of business now. Took him less than 2 years. Even lost his CDL for a year after I left. My first load was a load of prefab walls 10' wide into a residential neighborhood. My second load was a Volvo haul truck, wide, tall and heavy. I was shown how to use the RGN to remove and attach the neck and told to go move it 4 days after I had my license.

This is going to cost you a lot of money, lost sleep and aggravation. Just move on and keep it clean because you have NO guarantee of the outcome. Hell the judge may even throw it out or worse, make you pay their legal fees.

well, in your case stupid can't be fixed. My attitude is fine, and I have taken accountability for me. If you want to read more into it, then yes, get out of this thread, because you're only detracting from it, not adding anything of value.

next time you make a u turn in tight quarters look out your window and you will notice your trailer backtracks a few feet as It swings around. I watch crst & covenant do it all the time at one of my customers

The statement right there is why it is hard to find a single truck from Werner, USA Truck, etc that doesn't have bent wings and cracked side steps. And everybody blames the companies when they see trucks like that going down the road. Be lucky they didn't make you pay for it.

Newsflash...Nothing just "happens" in this industry. The tornado that hit the Schneider yard in Dallas a few years back, that one "happened".

If a driver is behind the wheel in the seat and responsible for the operation of the vehicle, it doesn't just "happen", you did it.

It was already said on here, when you wreck something, own your mistake. Let go of your pride, live and learn. I've never had an accident but enough incidents that were my fault to teach me a lesson on how not to do things.

We all know Werner isn't the ideal career, but they let you stay after two incidents that you admitted to. Many companies are not so forgiving.

Yep. It can be done and you would have been ahead had you figured out a way to pull it off.

    Sounds like a good fit.

yeah, I'm sure the 12'6" box "truck" or low cube trailer she was talking about makes it in and out of there just fine. :) You can't ever be too sure if they know what they're talking about. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. I've gotten into some arguments with people over what I would and wouldn't do with the particular type of truck I was driving but this is always a dumb idea trying to explain "truck driver stuff" to lay persons who are trying to tell you how to do your job.

Sir, knight is shady and also lied to me back in the day. If you want your unemployment, set a hearing with an administrative law judge. Tell them you were being constructively discharged and was being harassed by your boss for voicing safety concerns. Chances are the company will no show. You need to show you quit your job for good cause. EDD filings are confidential so lie your arse off and throw them under the bus. Seriously
