Well, since I'm on thin ice here, I may as well break it. I don't ever have to worry about finding a job. I don't hit things. And I if I screw up, I own it. I tried to give you the best advice I could, and so did everyone else. And you call me stupid. let me clue you in on something. I'm not the one who hit a bunch of stuff and whined that I couldn't get a job. I can apply anywhere and be hired. My wallet is full and my DAC looks perfect. I'm where I want to be, not where I have to be. Think about that before you call anyone stupid. You're a broad. You have a mirror. Look in it. You'd be amazed at what you see.

Joe is right...this is why knight rejected you and werner said good riddance...the attitude you have will get you no where in this business...good luck trying to find a reputable job in this business...it's a fact that drivers with bad attitudes typically don't last and are generally viewed as not hirable people...btw, this know it all attitude will get you in trouble in this business...chalk it up as lesson learned and move on....

I am glad that I don't have to be in the sleeper with that team deal. Something about this OP scares the hell outta me.

that's exactly what it turned out to be too. it was a furniture warehouse and the trucks sitting in the lot when I finally got it shoehorned in there were about 12'6 and non-cdl. nothing but little delivery trucks. I walked him outside when I got there and asked 'him how good was I? I got that truck under that bridge' lol he actually believed me until I told him his directions completely sucked and I gave him a good set of directions and told him to put it on his board beside his desk in case any other REAL truck driver asked him how to get there in the future because we don't drive little delivery vans

And that statement right there my friend is why your in the boat your in. With a nonchalant attitude towards scratches, dents and dings your going to have a tough time finding a decent job. What you classify as just a ding could very well cost your carrier $1000's. I'm hauling a piece right now that has a value in the millions so a simple scratch as defined by you when you back into it in the parking lot could cost your employer a few hundred thousand dollars.

Maybe time to look within at what led you to the spot your in now. When a carrier sees someone who repeatedly has "minor incidents" they view them as major liabilities. So you rub up against something on a flatbed, get out and look and think, "oh that's minor, scratches, dent's and dings happen in this industry" then your employer gets a call and your minor scratch is on a one off carbon fiber airplane part that has a repair bill of $200,000.00. That's a liability there.

Yes accidents can and will happen but there's a reason they classify as preventable and non-preventable. Even a "minor incident" that is a preventable can lead to more expensive preventable "incidents". You minor fairing could have been a missed coupling causing a trailer to disconnect in traffic killing someone. Your "slip in the mud" could have been a roll-over damaging or destroying a load. As for the spinning around, well try that at most places I've worked and you'd be fired for tearing up tires let alone hitting someone's vehicle. I know you say the last wasn't your fault but the person accusing you works for the person writing the check to your company that writes your check, who do you think they're going to believe?? It's may not be right or fair but your company is not going to tell a good customer to pound sand over a dented vehicle and risk loosing an account, that's business.

How long before we see a post about Fed-Ex being unfair and firing someone for tipping a pup over?

Hope fedex works out better. A couple rookie moments early on that don't amount to any death or major destruction of property is more typical than not. However as someone who has a little experience hooking and pulling trailer sets, I can tell you there is another learning curve ahead of you so pay attention and be extremely careful when handling converter gear. Ask for help if necessary and don't ever put yourself between one of those things and a trailer because guys have been seriously injured or killed by them.
