I wonder if you can order it online from Walmart? It’s under $13 in the States right now.

I would find a “local” oil distributor and see what they carry for a house blend. House blends usually exceeds the name brands and a fraction of the cost.

I went full syn, and switched to annual changes this year. Wonderful invention.

I did same thing with Rotella twice last year. They haven’t had any since.

I also read about oil leaks developing after switching to any type of synthetic when they normally ran conventional oils. I decided to switch to Delvac after running dino oil exclusively and now I have leaks everywhere. Same thing happened when I tried it on my gas service truck. Not sure if it was a coincidence both times or not but from now on I'm only running what the engine came from the manufacturers with.

That stopped happening 30 years ago when they replaced seals in cars with better seals. The rumor has been ringing around like a bell

Sorry if this is answered in your long thread but what did the rear structure re-seal cost you? Im in the same boat, slight head seepage, front structure one spot, but mainly the rear structure, runs fine, doing about 15 k changes, drops about 1-1.5 gallon pretty fast, eats nother 1 gallon over the next 10k. (I usually add the one gallon back then just wait till oil chg, kitty for me, know theyre common issues, but i dont like marking my spot)

Kinda hard to say, because the transmission was out at the same time.

@pushbroom or @Goodysnap might be able to better answer.

With all the garbage running through these motors. Especially def ones don’t you think running a synthetic oil is wasted money if you’re changing it under 20k as it’s probably dirty by then?
I think a synthetic would be a better value if you had an external filtration system
    Or am I wrong?
Been wrong a few times in my life
