Here is @IluvCATS other top driver. He got skerrrd at the Flying J in Altoona, IA the other day and was hiding in the engine bay of a Toyota pickup truck. Decided to make a run for it in the middle of the 6 lane intersection.

Used 4 of his 9 lives avoiding having his neck ruined by a Goodyear. I picked him up and took care of him for a couple of days.

He's now invaded our house after a trip to the vet for shots and worms.

    We've named him Axle.

@IluvCATS - you really need to take care of your drivers a little better. I'll lease him back to you for 50 cents per mile. And you have to re-imburse for the veterinary fees.

    True story.

I saw the fluffy tail drop down from the engine bay and knew what was going on. Light turned green 2 seconds after I set the brakes and moved toward him. Traffic swerving everywhere. For some reason, he bee-lined for my truck and up on the trailer tires. I grabbed him - just couldn't leave the little bugger. Was traumatized for an hour or two till I got down on his level - then I couldn't get him off me.

He's an awesome little cat. Vet reckons he's a year old. Declawed, so must have been somebody's little cat. Absolutely adorable, all over you at a moments notice. Had some bumps on his skin, flea problems - steroid shots cleared him up. Feeding him Blue Buffalo by the boatload to get his weight back.

Currently running off the stray males from around the house despite a lack of claws, and trying to make friends with the 4 year old spayed female adopter - but too much kitten for her lazy ways.

Too late. I would have to back my truck down the narrow on-ramp to get back over to those pumps. Lol it would almost be worth it. I’d restart my drive clock if leaving and returning the legal way. So..I’m not budging from my spot.

Yeah - tore me up too when I discovered it the next morning. It made me decide to take it to a local area shelter, but Gretchen talked me out of it. I figured if I bought him home, he's have no show on 20 acres with the wildlings - but seems to be holding his own.

It's their only weapons - claws and teeth, and stupid humans decide to remove them to suit . . . their narcissistic furniture beauty requirements. Cats can be trained.

Because of your post, DOT has located your position and is aware of your current HOS situation. DO NOT MOVE DRIVER!

I'll be getting my coffee in that same travel plaza at about 5AM tomorrow morning.
I'll be the guy in the green Ford F150.
See you in the mens room....

Methinks IluveCATS just started this thread to cause some trouble.

I have a 16 year old daughter just like that.
On a recent road trip, as she walked into a 7/11 and saw two police officers, she blurted out...

    "Smells like BACON!"
