Wifey and I basically try to use 8 hours and 45 minutes every day. That is what 70 decided by 8 equals. It doesn't always work that way as some loads are hotter than others but we do average that 8 45. As far as coming over as a team, it's worked out great for us. This outfit loves teams and you will be treated as such. You will do a lot of swaps as sometimes it seems as if that's our purpose here. Basically if y'all are given a load with a day or more of extra time, you will swap. You should see a lot of so-cal to Florida loads which will usually be actual team loads, (2500 miles due in 3 days). We've averaged about 5400 miles a week in the last year. The truck pays us around 50-55 cpm with us getting around 8 mpg and looking for cheap fuel. Hope this helps you.

My recap tomorrow is 3 hours smh ain't getting far on that lol.

It's simpler than that ... no matter how you run, you always have 70 hours coming back over the next 8 days. Just manage your loads accordingly.OldMuleskinner Thanks this.

Thanks all. Much clearer now.
@arrogant steve, my wife doesn't drive the truck, she just drives me crazy! Only kidding, she's ridden with me for almost 8 years and I count on her to do all the paperwork, etc. She will be the one to check fuel prices with EFS, plug in the numbers in the spreadsheets, navigate, etc. I wouldn't admit it to her, but I'm lost whenever she takes a few weeks out of the truck to visit the kids & grandkids. One of the reasons I wanted to look into JCT- I'd like to go with her. -
Well my Friday the 13th happened on Saturday the 14th.
Drove from Grand island, NE to Little America, WY overnight with no issues. No weather, roads dry including Elk and Sherman and the wind was blowing 1-5 MPH, usually in my favor. Some fog here and there, but otherwise a great day.
I get into the Little America truck stop and run into a cluster #*%$ of ice. They hadn't even thrown a handful of salt in the entire parking lot nor attempted to plow it. Of course the fuel island and shop are semi clean
I'm doing about 3 MPH, nice and easy, realizing I made a very bad decision in stopping here. I get about 150 into the lot and tractor loses traction on the ice.
All I could do was watch in my passenger mirror as my tractor and trailer decide to kiss each other....I mean a wet, sloppy, open mouth, French kiss.
BANG!
Obscenities flying out of my mouth, butt clenching exercises that would put any "Buns of Steel" workout videos to shame.
Lost cab extenders on passenger side (top one was stuck in the side of the trailer) back of sleeper and corner smashed in. Cut an air line in half on pigtail.

Something about the 13th. I had a load lined up Lake Wales Florida up north to PA, anyway I got food poisoning real bad. Only ate twice that day, Taco Bell for breakfast and Denny's for dinner. Puking on the ground between the trucks and pooping in my pants so much, couldn't keep a sip of water down even. So dehydrated I couldn't even dissolve pepto bismol tablets in my mouth. Been laid up mostly about over 30 hours in the sleeper now sore from lying down too much.
