Can't they remotely check the temps on the refer without bothering you. I know our company can see the refer temps on their computers.

 

I think? We don't even have trailer tracs on the qc or in cab temp alarms which I find odd for a temp controlled shipper....

Last company had in cab alarms when the reefer went out of range or threw a shut down code. Right now someone could walk by my produce load turn it to 70 instead of 35 and I don't think anyone would notice until I did a temp check... Could be wrong...

 

They called me last week and said I was showing dangerously low on reefer fuel. I said I just filled it 10 hours ago and they said ok our alert must be fouled up...
Whatever that means.

I also just qc message produce temps in. I'm not calling Jct unless a real problem occurs. They make it clear they don't want to talk on phone to me Everytime I call. Lol

 

I thought the wires on those fuel monitors on those tanks were cut... Always looked cut to me...

I've been getting regular messages about calling in produce temps every time I pick up a produce load...even before I'm loaded and just on my way to the shipper. I'm thinking somebody at JCT sent out a memo to all DM's that they want to crack down on the produce phone call. In 2.5 years here, I've never been pestered about calling in produce temps until this summer.

 

That's exactly what happened. JCT has already lost a few produce loads that could have been prevented by the driver getting out and properly checking temps. And they have drivers that refuse to admit that they can't make OTD and endo up being late.

 

Just a heads up. Here at the phoenix yard i had my 500 dollar tablet gps stolen right out of my truck. I have no idea how or when but its gone.
