These retail stores are forcing sales to Amazon. They all try and sell stuff online now. And because of that they lower their store inventory because less on hand makes the books look good. I tried to buy a kayak from REI in Dallas a few months ago that was supposed to be stocked in the stores. Turns out all the Dallas area locations were sold out.
So I bought it on Amazon instead. If they don't want my thousand dollars fine. Amazon gets it.

Man, Schneider just announced yet another pay raise for their Dry Van fleet, all levels (Entry to Veteran). 3rd in someting like 10 months. Hope they can afford it, we know how hard it is on companies to give raises and how much it affects profits </sarcasam>

On Walmart vs Amazon, I wouldn't put much credence on that story. A lot of those pieces are managers or hacks at a fund trying to talk their book. Only fully sourced and verified stories otherwise, it's probably junk.
My guess is somebody has a big short on AMZN and is trying to help it down.

Speaking of tires, i'm at 176K miles, starting to get inner shoulder cupping on one of my drives, and my steers are at about 7/32 except for the drive side as well, with river wear on one tread..
