You are correct, if you go too much negative the deduction is increased. I don't remember the threshold amount.

The maintenance fund is your money it's just JCT sets it aside "for your convenience" so it is counted as income because it is.

Since my lease is complete I no longer pay into the fund but will handle repairs on my own. It's a nice psychological boost have these bigger checks but it's all on me to manage it now.

I always find it funny when I see someone thump their tires. Sometimes I will ask why and the answer is always to check air pressure. Then I'm like it doesn't tell you how much air is in the tire and you can still have a "flat" and it thump just fine.

On the other hand though, thumping a tire can give you a sign of tire seperation because the sound will be different than the others. I have experiencedone this.

I just have my maintenance account set to a straight 10 cents a mile no matter what. 5 cents a mile is way to low in my opinion.

I recovered most of the cost of my PM in a week and the $300 flat repair will be recovered on this payday. Which is keeping the balance right at $3k.

Well ####.....just got a call from my banks fraud department. My bank card was hacked, duplicated and was attempted to be used at a Wal-Mart out in California for $100. I'm in Kansas and the wife is home in Texas.

The transaction was declined but had to turn off the card and get a new sent to the house.
