They recently made the move to having the chipped cards. So, my new one will have the chip. And I have no clue on how those work, but it's suppose to be more secure.

 

Mine both have a chip...im sure these crooks are working ot to try and figure out how to beat those too..lol

 

Im on my third card with bofa all had chips.

 

I know they won't be able to use an RF reader on me. I rarely take my wallet into a truck stop. And I have one of those wallets that blocks that kind of stuff. I know it works because the electric key card for the building in Sapulpa won't work through my wallet and other people will.

 

Chips are not RF . Chips are just a new way instead of the mag swpie . All the hacks i have had was from using in stores in my opnion.

 

That is why I try to pay cash, but being on the road that can be hard. I really hate using an ATM as that is the most common place to get hacked.

Online payments are done through PayPal and I can say that over the past 10 years of using PayPal I have never been hacked.

So I checked my tires again, and they were worse than I thought, so I replaced with two new x line energy steers at the terminal. Buying a used one and mounting would have been close to just buying a new one anyways.

They have RFID....
