I am at Schneider as an IC and I will admit that when I started I was a nervous wreck but now it's just another day at work. I done a year lease and now I am on my 2nd lease with them. If I can do it anyone can.

I had looked at JCT but it would not work for me.

Steel Tiger and kanidana Thank this.

I got an app at CPC running a load from Vegas to Ontario and back paying pretty good. Already had a call back but they gotta run the license and such.

Because many times when I've done a 41 I've been swapped from a relaxing one stopper to a place I'm comfortable going to a stressful 3 stopper at crappy recievers. I don't just care sbout miles, I also care about my job comfort level both in my truck and where I pu and deliver.

Seems you are in the catch 22 world. I too have had that happen. In fact I just got screwed when I agreed to a swap so I stopped and after an hour the other driver canceled and said he can make on time.

I even wish we had a little more say in where we swap as well. On my current hours I can make lexington, ne tomorrow morning. To make this week work money wise, i need a 34 and a delivery by Thursday. A lexington swap to a tyson load that picks up monday night and delivers thursday would be perfect. I know the freight doesn't always match our desires, but i think the probability of this being a possibility would be rather good.

Now, if I just throw out a 41, and i will be a day early on my current load, the chances of things working out the way I'd like them to be are slim to none. 41s, to me, are like gambling and I don't gamble.

I will still do 41s but I will decline if they don't help.

I updated my pay checker sheet. Updates are:
    • Broke out the fixed costs to an itemized list and included extra spaces for custom entries.
    • Added two columns to break the load pay into mileage and FSC pay.
    • Corrected the short haul pay. I had the mileage cutoff wrong.
    • Made some format clean up.

    Google docs link:
    Pay Rate Share

To use you have to "Save as" otherwise it's in view only mode. Also, if you open it in a browser it won't look right as a lot of the formatting gets stripped out.

The sole purpose, for me, is to know what my next check should be and to verify that the paid amount is correct.
