If you just gotta have a CAT scale, then you have to go to Greenwod, LA or the Pilot in Tyler, TX. Greenwood, LA is about 30 miles from Carthage via US79 North. Takes right into a Flying J and Loves. Tyler is approx an hour from Carthage.

There's also another CAT scale in Tyler at exit 571A. IMO I would avoid the Pilot in Tyler. It's usually a cluster over there during the day.

8.5 hours at the Kroger in Tolleson, still not to a door yet. I thought how bad could it be? Now I know.
My big mistake is not going to sleep when I got here. lol

Went there the first month I was solo. Forgot to do my arrival call and screwed myself out of 4 hours detention.

Actually there isn't one there. I drove over and asked at the fuel desk. It's possible that the closest scale is off of i20. I just ran with it to the pilot and got it scaled. Luckily, it was just right with one adjustment. Last time I picked up a load there it was over by 2500 lbs but i used their scale to find that out.

Yep. My grandmother lives in the area that's going 100mph winds and she refuses to leave to where I live. Where it's much safer and not in the direct path.
