I'm currently headed to Joslin, Illinois for a pick up from Rice, Minnesota. 426 DH miles. Extrapolate that to Southern California, and that puts nearly the entire central valley of California in range of a pick up. I know that's a lot of DH miles, but there's no excuse for having a driver sit for that long without a pre-plan.

Finally got a preplan. Pickup in Bakersfield and Delano tomorrow afternoon. I could go park in Bakersfield today, but I'm not. No longer in a driving mood. So, I'll just head up there tomorrow.

What makes it more annoying is not knowing. If we were planning our own loads at least we'd know what was going on with freight. It's that sitting and waiting while not having any concrete info about the situation that drives me crazy.

I unloaded yesterday morning in tracy and I had a preplan at lemoore for my hometime that had been on me for a couple of days. Supposedly a drop and hook. Right when I was unloaded and heading that direction, they changed it to a live load for tonight. 36 hours of sit time plus the entire morning in tracy. I know what you're feeling about now.

    MachoCyclone Thanks this.

Sounds about right for Tyson. But you better not be late for pickup or delivery. Lol.
