If you're taking the 152, leave early. 2 hours in construction traffic for me today.

Which is odd because both places are open all day and first come first serve...

    Weird right?
I'm not complaining just seems weird to raise it twice in a months time...

    MachoCyclone Thanks this.

I guess it was to be expected they were talking about 10% raise instead we got 6.25%.

Here's the thing I'm not griping about the raise itself any raises good what I'm kind of irritated about is the phrasing after where they're like well we gave you this much and if you stick around wink-wink-nudge-nudge there might be more. (If history is an indicator.....)

It turns it from a raise to a retainment ploy.

Got this message this morning over the QC and as a text to my phone:

Not sure how I feel about it. It's still far behind alot of other places. But at least they are recognizing the issue. I still think that the ELD mandate will raise freight rates.

    Kamkor Thanks this.

Well, i have to say, I'm glad to see JCT is implementing SOMETHING for you guys. It basically comes to $150 - $180 per week increase. Not a life changing event by any means, but its still more money for you guys.

Will have to wait and see what the Elog mandate will bring down the road.

    MachoCyclone Thanks this.

Darryl Christner here. In essence, all pay increase of any kind is for "retention" reasons. The reason for the two phase increase is to help us match cash flow from the rate increases we are negotiating with customers. We believe that the elog mandate could have further positive effect on freight rates. We have to wait & see how the market reacts. Our sincere hope is that freight rates, & along with it, driver pay keeps increasing. If anyone would like to discuss anything further my direct line is 918-227-6619.

JTT, Treputt, Steel Tiger and 3 others Thank this.
