I’m not sure why but I keep coming back to look at JCT. I know they arent perfect, but it seems like it’s possible to actually pay off a Truck and still make company driver wages. I keep going back to them and looking

Pretty good description. So far this year my average settlement-in-bank is 1197.26 a week. That's after all expenses and maintenance account deductions.

    Rugerfan Thanks this.

That’s more than I make now. Is that also after saving money out for taxes?

No, that's just what gets deposited into my account. On top of that we are getting a raise of, so far, 6 cents. I generally run 3000 miles so that just increases the average by 180 a week.

So how do you manage the tax situation? Do you have a separate account that’s just for taxes?

Business savings account, set it aside, earn interest while I wait for the tax man.

Interesting. I’d have a lot to learn about that. So out of say 1197, how much is saved for taxes

Well not all in that account gets used for taxes, its just the amount I throw into the account for tax savings. And remember, its 800ish left over after basically paying the equivalent of a mortgage off in 5 years. Plus the 6 cent raise, which will probably just get funneled into savings or maintenance since I'm use to living on what I'm getting.

    Rugerfan and CannonballAA Thank this.
