It's nice having that starting gremlin worked out of the truck. It turned out not to be the clutch switch. Yesterday afternoon when the Freightliner tech went to bring the truck into the shop, he bypassed the clutch switch behind the pedal and it still wouldn't start. He had to do the same thing the road service tech did. Which was have some hold the key in the start position while he jumped the wire harness on the starter.

It actually turned out to be the wires to the starter had broken internally and it was luck of the draw if they connected to allow starting. So, he had to rewire those wires to the starter.

Apparently we have a driver liaison for issues between driver and shop now. I will be calling him on Monday because I shouldn't have to pay for the after hours road service after the was supposedly fixed Friday evening.

All 3 pumps are out of order at Maverick Holbrook. Of course I made it here on empty. Guess I'll try to make it to NM state line....

Update. Looks like only the 3 pumps with remotes are down. The separate pump on the side still works. But can't use the EFS card there. I'm paying cash.
It's supposed to be fixed by 7am tommorow if anybody else has plans to come here. Till then it's credit or debit card only. And the pump at least stretches to both sides of the truck.

You're braver than I am. I've gotten bad fuel from there once and won't fuel there again. I've also heard from multiple drivers about the DEF there being bad also. They all had the same error code come up for bad DEF.

Yeah I have really limited fueling there myself after listening to the techs at Jamestown Boss Shop talking about a slew of roadservice calls one night all pertaining to speedy fuel.

So I'm headed to California..Riverside and Fremont...while my crankcase breather filter oil separator is being held together with one screw and a pair of vice grips pliers to keep the oil from bleeding out...

    Fun stuff..
