Anyone here doing immersion circulation cooking in their truck? Or some call it sous vide cooking.
Its a great clean way to cook the perfect steak or anything while going down the road. The immersion cookers are only like 70 bucks at Walmart and only 800 watts.

Anyway for those who like cooking in the truck, this is a game changer in my opinion. :)

The real advantage is besides being cooked to the perfect temperature, it can't be over cooked. Cook a steak for a hour or for 6 hours and it's the same.
Great for going down the road and having your meal at your convenience.

Niiice. May convince me to finally let them put in that free inverter...

BTW all you drivers with the 17's...don't worry, I apparently got the #### lemon. Now I have a leaking crankshaft seal.

I don't get why some drivers say their APU heat can't keep them warm when it really cold outside. It's a little toasty in my sleeper right now.

Now, to brave the cold to go to the restroom.

It's 5 where I'm at in Kansas. I have to deliver at 0330 and I'm not looking forward to leaving my cozy sleeper.

Now that I have an inverter, I can actually use the high heat on my apu without losing my ac power and it does keep me warm.

When I got here yesterday, I drove around the parking lot for a few laps, even though there were a ton of spaces open. When I finally parked, I had another driver ask me why I did that.

Told him it was so I could let my tires and brakes cool down before parking on top of the ice and snow that covers the parking lot. This way, my hot tires don't melt the ice under them and then return freeze to the tire later on and to lower the risk of my brakes freezing together. Should have seen the blank stare I got. Since I've been doing that (for a few years now), I haven't had my brakes freeze together or tires freeze to the ground. So, I figure why stop the practice.

Any way, it's an hour before go time. Time to start the truck and let her warm up and go get some breakfast.
