Running with JCT, Part Deux

In Ok. with a trailer blowout. This is my 2nd in the last week. Was lucky enough to have this one happen just before exit to Loves. Of course all of their techs are out on calls, so I'm still waiting. At least not on the side of interstate though.

 

WHY ARE ALL GPS MANUFACTURERS GOING WITH THE STUPID MAGNETIC MOUNTS?!?!?!?!?

My Overdryve 7 falls off its mount every other day. Multiple times a day if I'm on I5....I want to sell the #### thing, not just because of that but because of other annoyances....

Now Garmins new 780 and 785 are going Magnetic. Someone needs to be hit with a bat......

 

My Garmin 770 is forever losing satellites...have to restarting 2 or 3 times a day. Going to throw it out a window one day.

 

My 770 crapped out too, probably because it was in that blistering windshield day in and day out. Not a satellite loss but i think the battery friend and took out the memory.

Garmin will refirbish a 770 out of warranty for 130. Send you a factory refreshed one. Should have done that instead of the overdrive. Me and Rand didn't get along before I didn't know why I thought this time would be different lol.

I've just started using this app like 2 days ago. Not long enough to really feel it out yet. But so far so good.

I thought about it, especially since I'm about to upgrade my phone, I could make my old phone a dedicated GPS with that.

 

New phone shopping is much more fun than gps shopping. lol

 

Yeah...kind of. I don't do contracts and buy unlocked carrier agnostic phones...so it's either really expensive or really cheap. Lol
