Back in November I decided I needed a hobby. So bought a Sony a6000 and tried to learn about photography. It's been a lot of fun and I'm pretty proud of my Instagram page if anybody wants to take a look. Doesn't take the place of fishing almost every day but it comes close. lol

Anyway if anyone is looking for a hobby to get some exercise and spend more time in the outdoors I highly recommend it.

 

Bought a Nikon D3400 for Christmas. What are you using for processing?

 

Nice camera. I'm doing editing in Lightroom mainly. Lately been failing at Photoshop. Way behind on the learning curve for Photoshop.
Took a online basic photography class from Creative Live and really liked it. Thinking about doing the same for Photoshop. Just can't seem to make sense of it.

I have Lightroom and Photoshop also. Mostly been picking up LR watching You Tube ... But they only show you enough to confuse you, then want to sell you a course or presets. Photoshop isn't intuitive at all. ... But I only started messing with them a couple of months ago. Had to get a new PC.

This guy, Anthony Morganti has some great LR/PS tutorials. He really explained it all well. But he's a video making machine so there's like a million of them. lol
This is the series that really made me understand LR. He has updated ones for newer software but it's really all the same controls.
