Before I left, I got JCT to instill a pay schedule for getting their equipment road ready and DOT legal. There was a printed sheet outlining the times and pay. Did they do away with that?
A simple fix is to refuse to budge that trailer, even off the customer's property. If everyone would stand their ground and force JCT to uphold the terms of the contract, maybe drivers wouldn't be left holding the bag. Read the contract carefully... it states that they can reserve the right to charge a driver the FULL COST of getting repairs done to JCT equipment if thru fail to report it....... but your insightful, intellectual, all knowing Driver Manager Supervisor said, "we don't want to run those drivers off." That's an exact quote.
I fought for 8 years on this very topic and got compensated for each and every repair. Fight for what's yours. The minute you let anyone get one over on you, it's hard to start getting what's due to you.

I have NEVER seen a sheet like that here. -
Also my driver manager argued that same thing...being afraid to run off ####ty drivers only runs off the quality ones.
frizzbees, CannonballAA and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -
