So two questions:

Do you get paid more per mile regional than OTR? Mileage Pay and Regional Pay?

And do you know your address is at the top of that report...………..

Being regional...I have a minimum paid miles of 2500 miles. So, even though I had 1500 dispatched miles; I'm paid an extra 1000 miles at the current rate of 1.05 per mile. Maintence escrow and truck payment are then calculated off that 2500 miles. If I happen to run more than 2500...then I paid for all miles.

Being regional, you give up the extra pay like detention, safety bonus, etc. But if we were paid exactly like OTR....I wouldn't make any money.

 

Ok so that's why your per mile rate is UP there, its not REALLY higher its just less hub than paid, kind of like what I ran into. I was all "Waiiiiiit...that's REALLLY high..."

 

Ok so here's another question, they don't pay you fuel surcharge on that extra 1000 miles do they? Since you technically don't run them?

 

Nope.

 

Yep. I put about 9000 miles on the hub for the month. But paid on 15,000 miles. And I buy less fuel than over the road. I have gone up to 5 days without buying fuel. Usually 3-4 days on a fill up.

 

Freightliner cascadia's remind me of The dark Knight..

Either you die unbuckled...or you live long enough to see yourself go insane from the intermittent seat belt warning..

 

Interesting fact....the 19 Cascadia doesn't sound or light up a seat belt warning. I've driven around shippers/receivers and the Fort Worth yard without the seat belt and no warning comes up. I know there is a light for it; it comes on then goes off when I turn the key on.
