Running with JCT, Part Deux

Just had a brand new JCT KW park next to me...already with a letter behind it...

 

How far up the alphabet?

Just A...but still...

 

My check-in this morning at consignee:

Consignee: Our unloaders come in at 8am and yard movers come in at 9am. Would you move a trailer a trailer into a door so we can unload you?

Me: Sure. If it gets me unloaded that much faster. What trailer you want and in what door?

Consignee: Writes down on paper the info. Drop your trailer with doors open here and move this trailer to this door.

Me: Not a problem. Then goes drops trailer in assigned door and then moves Mexican trailer (And starts reefer) into the other door.

What a stupid schedule. The check-in office opens at 7am. And everyone else later. So keep this in mind if you come here. Appt time is for 8am. I also wasn't the only driver they asked. The next 2 drivers behind me where asked the same thing and they agreed also. I watched them to the same thing I did.

 

They got free labor out of y'all ..not THAT stupid if you ask me ..

 

5min of free labor to not have to wait a of couple of hours is fine by me. There were drivers that declined and were told to wait for a phone call. They have 10 doors and cross dock 5 trucks at a time. Also, not having the yard jockey get in the way of backing into the small area is a huge bonus.

 

On another note. If you don't mind paying almost $200 for a lock. You can get this 5lb beast of a lock. Would be easier to rip the trailer doors off.

 

Hahaha yes! You watch the lock picking lawyer too?!

 

Yep. Just found his channel about a week ago. I'm tempted to send him the lock JCT uses to just see how fast he can get into it.

 

I think he's worked different models of abloy... He's able to open the same type as ours from different companies within about a minute.... How fast he disrespects a master lock is incredible...
