When it actually happened to me in the fog on I80 in Iowa, I couldn't wrap my mind around it. When it passed me in the fast lane, it suddenly hit me what I was seeing.

Well Rich logistics, part of roadrunner, is cutting their dry van driver workforce in half and closing five terminals.

Freightliner is laying off 900 manufacturing workers...

Reefer company in Florida just closed up shop.... A private equity conglomeration of Gantt Trucking, Sunco Trucking, Blue Sky Trucking, and Interide Transport....

    Makes you nervous...

All these companies are owned by private equity firms. Roadrunner is owned by the same private equity firm that owned HVH.
Rich logistics does a lot of GM and auto parts. With GM on strike and lordstown closing could have something do with it.

    Jarhed1964 and Kamkor Thank this.

I've been using my phone for a mobile hot spot for the past couple of years. Thanks to an app that not only bypassed the hots pot lock out, also hid the activity from the carrier. Well, I guess Straight Talk was finally able to overcome the internet magic the app was doing. Yesterday, I got a text warning me that I am violating the terms of service and need to stop or risk having my data cut off. :biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:

But that's ok. I'm currently testing out a new phone service I found that not only offers unlimited everything, but it really is unlimited data and you can use the phone for a hot spot with no cap on the hot spot. And it's $15 less per month that I what I'm paying Straight Talk for unlimited. Grant it, you can only have one device connected to the hot spot, but there is a way around that also. So, if this month long trial goes well, I might very well transfer everything over to the new service.

Jarhed1964, Kamkor, dwells40 and 2 others Thank this.

I've been on Straight Talk (AT&T) since 2008. Would love to know who this carrier is.
