Bad idea to ask me when I go home I take 2 weeks or so. I have savings for that home time. I put .20 a mile into a savings account for that.

So, I'm guessing a new hire wouldn't be able to get a new truck. Is that true, or am I misreading? Or do I get whatever and keep for 90 days then try to get a new one. Would like one of those t680's

Oh, and I understand the variable lease is like 120 + cents/mile...what would the cents/mile be for one of the t680's? Thanks you guys.

the CPM is based on the age of the truck. I have a 14 and when i got it she was new so i pay .20 a mile plus the 120. The way it works is when you come to orientation the first person done with all the paperwork gets first shot at what ever trucks are available. I was first done and my girl had just been turned in so she was ready. You would also have fees for the qualcom etc. If I take Home time and no loads I pay about 280 bucks or so. My buddy at swift takes hometime and he pays close to 1g . The only negative I can think of is I would like to be able to pick my loads like schnider but I like the family atmosphere here better then a big company.

If you pay attention to your fuel and treat it like a business it is hard to fail here.

That's what they are telling me. I've even been asking the important questions like if I go on a 7 day cruise to the Bahamas and talk about my work everyday, would that be a tax write off? ☺☺☺☺☺ I live about 3 miles from Tyson Distr in Rogers so getting home shouldn't be problematic.

No matter how you do it, the total will be the same in the end. Given that, I don't play games with the trips I just turn them in. I just took a week off so this coming check will be -$270.15.

If you save trips it makes the current check smaller and the next have a little on it. Why not just get a bigger current check? 3+1=4 and 4+0=4, either way its still 4.
