Usually, yes. With the fuel surcharge so low, you want to find the best fuel price you can.

    And welcome to JCT.

In theory, yes, but you have to factor in a couple of other things.

    1. Take 8¢ off of the Pilot/Flying J cash price, then compare prices.

    2. Take 11¢ -14¢ off of Loves cash price and then compare. Loves gives JCT drivers 10 points per gallon in addition to whatever level customer you are: 1 - 4 points. Points are cash you can use in Loves for food, merchandise, etc.

    3. Most mom and pops don't offer the tiny perks of larger truck stops such as free refills, showers

ALL.fuel in the same city is the same by law. If a city, county, or state requires a certain amount of detergent, additives or ketchup and mustard, then all stations selling gas or diesel has to meet that requirement. Fuel at Petro, Pilot, Loves, Exxon, XYZ, etc IS IDENTICAL. The only difference is whether it is 100% diesel or bio diesel.

ALL that said, all diesel sold within the city limits of say, Oklahoma City is the same except for the price and the color scheme of said store selling it.

I just remembered when I had the same a few months ago.....turned out to be a blown fuse on the truck. There is a fuse box under the hood against the fiewall in the driver side on the Frieghtliner. That is were the blown fuse was.

Funny you mention OKC. I find it funny that the fuel at loves on i40 is almost 30cents more expensive than loves on i35/i44. Pilot too. Got burned on that once. Never again!

Oh yeah forgot to mention, I was comming up from Los Cruces NM to Santa Rosa to catch the I40 there Thursday Night/Friday morning. My stupid attempt at trying to scoot around the snowstorm that hit Flagstaff landed me behind a bus that spun out on a slick hill between Alamogordo and Vaughn. With no momentum I was on the side of a slick hill. Had to put on a set of chains to get moving.

In the middle of this a UPS Doubles thought "Oh, I can squeeze past that" attempted it...ended up in the ditch about 50 yards behind me going southbound, almost flipped his tail end trailer. Had he waited 5 more minutes, the Bus had its chains on and out of the way.

Then on the CB I kept hearing someone jawing "Yall are sissies(edited for content) for needing chains or cables, blah blah blah" then announced he was going to show us all how a "real trucker" does it. Came down the little incline then up the hill...doing real well until his trailer pushed him off track...and halfway into the ditch where he got stuck.

I may have been a "sissy" for having to throw some chain to get moving up a slick hill, but I didn't end up in the ditch......

Of course this all could have been avoided by: 1. Me not taking that route...stupid me for using NMRoads and seeing the roads were clear when they wern't...which leads me to 2. I passed the yard where all the salt spreaders were at, and they were all safely behind their fence when about 5 miles up the road people were spinning out. Its like New Mexico is reactionary when it comes to this stuff, and not very QUICK reactions at that. They show up after the fact and throw road salt on you while you tighten your chain. Only needed them for about 5-10 miles, took em off and parked it in Vaughn as the whole thing destroyed my 14.

I've arrived at the Super 8 in Tulsa and I'm getting settled in for orientation on Monday. A lot of JCT bobtails are parked out in the parking lot. I'm glad the roads were in decent shape on the ride over despite the snow and rain.
