2nd day of orientation down. 2014 Freightliners is all they had, so I picked out unit 3092. It needed a jump I believe (or at least I hope so). It didn't even have 150k miles on it yet, so that has me worried. I'll have to see the maintenance record tomorrow and see why it doesn't have that many miles on it. I'll be the 3rd driver its ever had.

How do you look up fuel prices along your route, is there like a website or app for your phone?

Honestly the turn over is from people that can't set a budget or understand a business. Most people that start leases do the same thing and forget it's a business and you have to run it that way. As for the fuel I use efs website and I also use fuelbook app.

    Saturday Thanks this.

    Several options.

    EFS website-
    http://efsrc.promilesonline.com/EFSTruckStops/ByRoute.aspx

    Apps for truck stops-
Loves (99% of my fuel and my go to app), T/A Petro, PFJ, Sapp (or whatever) etc. and Truckers Path Pro

Qualcomm macro 23 (won't list Loves since the falling out. I never use this)

Always check prices along the route and never assume that because x has always been the cheapest that it still is.

    TA

Edit- may want to check out the NATSN fuel card. Can be deep discounts at T/A-Petro

    Know anyone using that?

Also to add to the apps, trucker tools in the play store has made their fuel optimization part of their app free. Just set up your truck specs in it and it will map out your trip and basically tell you where to fuel for the best deal based on remaining fuel, fuel economy, and how much you want to put on.

Can save you a pretty decent amount.

Also fuelbook is pretty good when looking at prices across a highway state by state.
