Dropped a load from the terminal to the Clarksville, ar walmart yesterday. I had 3 hours left on my clock when I arrived at the flying J near the Russellville, AR Tyson plant.

I'm so glad I didn't go down to Tyson thinking I'd make it out in time. I did a split birth reset at flying J and then made my way over there. It took 1 hour to get a door, and then 5 hours before they'd let me open my doors, and an additional 2 to get loaded and get my paperwork. wtf Tyson.

Will I have to show up to all my shippers or receivers with a fresh clock just to make sure I don't run out of time?

The thing is you learn which of our customers are quick and which of our customers are slow. You'll learn which ones you can take a 10 hour break out and which ones will have you in and out in about an hour. For example just about every time I go to Rogers for Tyson I know I'm going to be taking a 10 hour break on site. I know if I pick up at Daisy or that sour cream plant in Casa Grande it'll be 45 minutes to an hour and a half to load. Expect a minimum of 2 hours at Walmart. I've had pretty good luck at JBS on drop trailers being in and out.

You'll start adjusting your clock accordingly but eventually you'll start sounding just like us when we see Noel pop up on the Qualcomm and you just mutter swear words under your breath

So I've only been driving for three months, but I'm confident that a want to make a long career in trucking. I'm making 42,000 a year with the company I started with, and could make 65,000 in a few years if I stuck with them. I like the company but want to make my time on the road more lucrative. A friend sugested that JCT would be a good company to lease through. So I was hoping someone could give me a rough idea what I could make at JCT after lease payments, fuel cost, matinence, and other expenses? Also living in Utah will I get to make it home for my 34 reset?

OK that is wonderful! Just swapped for a Coke run to Cali in Alamo and the APU went bonkers. Made some god awful killing the cat noise and now it wont stay running. And just when this steering wheel holder approved Evo was just starting to get acceptable fuel mileage.

    Just Shoot Me...
