    Steel, who's getting 8.5mpg at 70mph? I need to be talking to them.

    Anyone that runs at 70 mph turning less than 1300 rpms. It's not so much about the speed as it is the rpms. The less your engine works, the better the economy. The 16's are supposedly set up to do that.

    Please don't quote me as I drive a truck that requires me to drive 55-58 mph to turn less than 1250 rpms, which I totally hate. The upside is the near 8.5 MPG that I'm getting thru the end of last year.

    I am currently on a downside trend at the moment as I had an overhead done right before Xmas and am using everyone's favorite winter blend.

    Tolleson to Van Horn....8.9 MPG, grossing 77800. If the wind gods are nice to me 2moro, I HOPE to finish in Dallas with over 9 MPG.

    I actually changed the settings of my TK to allow it to stay on with the ignition on. Only because I kept getting annoyed at how fast the Qualcomm shuts off after the truck goes down. So now I can just turn the key on acc and the apu stays on if I'm blowing AC or heat or cooking and get my Qualcomm stuff done.

    I don't let it run while the big engine is on though.
