I'm always amazed that people complain even if you give them what they want lol. That was an awesome thing they did. It actually a very positive thing they did.

It is a positive. Unfortunately, there will always be some to complain. I was talking to another JCT driver last night who wasn't happy about it. He wanted a base rate increase. I explained that is basicly what they did. He didn't want to listen and kept telling me I was wrong even though I gave hm the basic numbers. In the end, I wished a good night and went back to my truck.

I know all about that crazyiness. I listened to a guy complain because they sent him a pp from Washington to Florida said he don't do that crazy stuff. Then the next minute he complained about how he never gets miles. Some people should not be allowed to have a business.

I love that run. Then you get the ones who complain about not enough money on their settlements, but they but over purchase fuel, take the full advance at once, or late trip loads.

I late trip occasionally if I want my weeks to balance out, but I've gotten my business savings up to the point where I can balance and hit my weekly nut without it. I just put the next week's overage back in. Giving myself a set weekly "paycheck" from the settlement and putting the rest away has really helped, instead of being "ohhhhhhhh money!".
It was the last bit of company driver mentality I needed to wash out.

    Totally disagree.

What jct did was neither an increase nor decrease. That money is yours and what they did was simply give drivers easier access to their own money.

Since the majority of drivers were building large maintenance balances jct adjusted the reserve deduction. That was a nice change that jct did, and didn't have to, but it is not an increase of any sort.

Kind of funny because I just had them raise mine by 33%

One could agrue what actual base rate. The 90 cents or the 90 minus variable minus escrow.

But either way, it's a little more money in your pocket.

I have to agree with TA, but I agree with Macho's last comment also.

Or 92 if you count the quarterly.

Read up to my comments from yesterday. There are some things that were not announced but are available to drivers.
