Yes, there is one other truck that has it. He got his a few months ago. I've had mine for 2 years now. Has saved me literally thousands so far.

I estimate based on before and after numbers that I have saved almost 3100 gallons over 2 years. At a LOW average of $2.25/gallon, that comes to almost $7000 so far. I'm extremely happy with the results.

    dhkwanderer Thanks this.

So here's an interesting paradox. You get better fuel mileage when you control the throttle with your foot. Meaning you can adjust for Hills cresting things like that. The automatics have a feature where it disengages the drive and put it in neutral for lack of a better word. It does this when it knows that you no longer need throttle to maintain your speed. This feature saves you fuel however you have to use cruise control.

It would be nice if there was a way to limit the throttle allowed to cruise control. Meaning you could say that cruise control can only use a Max of 50% throttle. That way it doesn't try to pour on the coals on every Hill.

That feature with the automatics is actually one of the things I'm looking forward to. Supposedly the cruise is integrated with GPS technology and everything is trying automatic, so the ECM knows when to add throttle and how much cuz it knows the grade of a hill and length. Basically the way it was explained to me, you have to have complete faith in your truck and let it do its thing. Supposedly ask the driver has to do is steer. Of course I'll play with it and determine which works best.

So they actually are ordering them with that enhanced cruise system? Niiiiiiice. Quinton told me its 68 on the pedal and 70 on the cruise.

My truck is an auto with the advanced cruise. It's weird to see that needle drop below a thousand when the transmission disengages. Just turn off the cruise when going down a 4% grade or more because it will over compensate and downshift too aggressive sending your rpms over 2300 and the engine brake on full.

Then switch to manual mode to control the downshifting...
