So, this load I'm on, I told them there is an issue with me making OTD. It's because I only recap 4 hours on Sunday midnight. Which would give me 6 hours to go from Lake Havasu to Sacramento. Not happening.
The return message I got was you are projecting good with the computer. I responded with what exactly what the issue is.

And then I realized that today is Thursday and should be good for OTD. For some reason I thought today was Friday.
I went all day thinking today was Friday. That's the down side to driving overnights. My days get off, but I love driving at night.Jim Bailey, Top off and CannonballAA Thank this. -
Top off and MachoCyclone Thank this.

0300 to 1200 is my favorite range to run in. I try to only give this job 8-9 hours of my time a day. I find that I'm happier when I'm not pulling 10 hour shifts in the saddle. Plus my wheels are turning 7 days a week because I have the recaps to run.
Kamkor, CannonballAA, Top off and 1 other person Thank this. -
Top off wave as you drive by my house in Henderson lol I live 10 minutes from ocean spray. And we have all done that miscalculation deal. I had it once they kept calling saying I would not make it but I knew I would and they annoyed me so much I just said fine take it whatever. I ended up with a load that made more miles in the same time frame.
Top off, CannonballAA and MachoCyclone Thank this. -
5 days to go 1500 miles smh that will be a drop lol

Enough time has passed I guess I can confess. I had loads coming into I 40 California turning north for deliveries up north and was only concerned with the Tehachapi scale. Legal to that point after that I didn't care. Go around 2 other scales on the way north and make delivery on time.
Another time I was to be loaded in Minneapolis, they said the load would go to Texas. Now they have about 4 terminals that i know of in Texas but they didn't say which one. Looked at my hours I knew I was barely good for Dallas Ft Worth. Anything else I would be over my 70. Sure enough they call me at midnight, load ready for Houston. I got down to the border of OK/TX around midnight my hours zeroed out and picked up 3.5 hours. Let's just say from the top of TX to Houston only took 3.5 hours on paper. -
