Running with JCT, Part Deux

There was a fire in Oregon last week called the Scalehouse fire because...it was around a scale house near Cabbage...

Coincidence that scale houses are near fires?

To bad it ain't that new one at the nv ca border coming out of vegas lol

 

"Its a drop and hook" (Trailer has a flat tire, blown hub seal, no coolant, leaking oil, 2.5 hours)

"Its a customer account for the washout." (Havent had an account for 3 years, need EFS (15 min))

"Your load will be on a drop trailer at the shipper" (Live load, crew wont get in until 6pm, no clue when you'll get a door, 4+ hours and ticking)

"You'll be able to just cruise on this load" (Drop added to load, 8 hours before final, combined with live load ODT is becoming impossible.)

What a day....

Nothing like a booty call from life. Turns out life wants to keep screwing me. LOL....heh...

Got unloaded in Atlanta earlier this week, and I had my next load I needed to get to because they took forever to unload. SO when they brought me the paperwork, I asked my normal "Everything good?" "Yeah, all good, you're good, drive safe".

YAY! *Empty call, Logs, Route Planned ROLL!!!*

Checked paperwork tonight as I am sending in my bills...1 case short (Though they thought it was 40 cases short), and seal number listed as "NO SEAL".

 

What has happened to JCT and their trailers? When I was with JCT (2014-2015), I could count the times I encountered a bad trailer on one hand. Now it seems that's all I see on this thread, drivers reporting nearly every trailer with an issue. With no compensation or incentive, other than the knowledge of doing your job as a professional, it seems likely the poor state of trailers at JCT is going to continue.

 

I think a lot have to do with the quality of drivers they're bringing on and at the same time the co is looking the other way from whatever reason...

 

Just got to the hotel here in tulsa. Greyhound ended up over an hour late arriveing in tulsa but no major screwups

 

Getting live loaded in colton and set to deliver in Florida. Already have a pre-plan to pick up in Florida and head back to California. So far this team stuff is really working out. I'm one of the new Cascadia's also. This truck is about to see some serious miles from this point on.
