I would replace it and run it out on a trailer

How many miles on it? I'd probably run it but if it's getting near 100 I would move to trailer soon. I am picky on tires too but I'm more picky on trying not to buy the #### things so often.

    D.Tibbitt and JonJon78 Thank this.

I would run but keep an eye on it ...being steer would make me more nervous .

In that case - I'd replace and push them back to trailer.

I'm super picky on steers. Drives, not so much - but I just think of all those 'scenarios' that a steer failure wouldn't be 'nice'.

Yeah......that's the thing, man. Drive blows, no big deal. Steer blows and potentially, it's a super bad day. I've seen fenders blown off and trucks in the ditch.
It would be a hard decision for me to make, because that's a otherwise good looking tire.

According to the dot man that gave me a tire violation . That is a legal tire , being that its not in a major tread groove. Maybe throw it on the front spread axle and get new steer

Blow the picture up and looks to me like a steel strand at the bottom. Being on the steer I think I’d replace it, it’s deep enough that one rock gets wedged in there even for a short time and it’s gonna be into the steel.

    JonJon78 Thanks this.
