Today was my first day out on the road in a big rig! It went really well and it was so much fun. I love going through the city throwing around that big shifter, jamming all those gears. If things go as planned, I should be driving morning and afternoon Monday-Wednesday next week in order to be ready for my CDL test date on Thursday!

hey ohio, im thinking about going to sage as its hard to find a school where i can get financial aide where i live without having to put down $1300 (pretty much a down on a car). How was the financing at sage if you went that route?

Hey, ccolvin. To be honest with you, I am not the one to ask about financial aid for trucking school. Because I live out of state, I was not eligible for the financial aid they normally get for their students. I just got a loan through a credit union. However; two of the guys in my class got state grants for the entire cost of tuition! It doesn't seem like it would be that hard either. You probably just have to fill out a few forms. Sorry, I couldn't be a greater help. Just give the SAGE that you're going to be attending a call. If they're anywhere as near nice as the people in Waynesburg, PA they will be more than willing to help you out in any way possible.

As of Wednesday afternoon, I was done with my training at Sage. And as of 2 PM today, I passed my Ohio commercial driver's license test!

I start training for Watkins Shepard on March 2nd. Wish me luck!

If anyone who reads this has an questions about Sage, I'll try and help you out as much as I can. I won't be updating anymore because I'm out of school, but I'll still be monitoring my post.

I'm a little late in reading this thread, but maybe you still check in. I'm being put into contact with Mary Beth on Tuesday (she's out of town until then) to visit with her about the tuition. I was planning on going to WS, but I can't afford their new tuition program, so they are referring me to Sage in Waynesburg. I'm moving to PA sometime soon, so it would be a good fit for me. I have a decision to make between them and somebody else, and I have to make it soon.

Tell me, how long was your class there from beginning to end? How many weeks? Also, did you make it on with WS? Are you still there? Tell me about your impressions and how you like things presently? I appreciate your posts, and I will be looking for your response. Thanks!
