teamya.... whIKEA the trucks are not new, they aren't returned over and over. For instance we originally were in an 09 international. We drove that and paid it off in 13 months. We happen to be at our yard and saw that they had gotten some 12 kenworth in. They bought them from the kenworth dealer in town. We wanted something bigger so we leased one of them. It was our choice to release. We could Hv stayed as owner/operator with the 09 but we wanted more room. Because our 09 was still in good working condition they put it back into the lease program. They paid us fair market value for it...which we had the option of putting that money down on the new truck or putting it in our pocket. We are very Happy with the lease program...obviously or we wouldn't Hv redone it!

-
How many leases have you done with them?
And, what exactly went wrong?
Have you ever been successful/pleased with anyone else?hi beam Thanks this. -
Ok what about the sudden firing of a lot of guys??
Some yes need to be let go as their csa scores got high. But some have low scores. 30/40 point range.
One guy got let go, been there 20 years. Had a slight fender bender. NO ticket issued. Got let go. No other accidents or claims.. Yes I still talk with some of the guys...
check it out more. Oh ask the head lady in safety how much trouble she got into for trying to cover for the guy who ruined a fiberglass tank he was hauling... Opps... -
I haven't heard of any sudden firings. And without knowing the particulars I'm not gonna make any judgement statement about that. What I know is what we have experienced. That's all I'm talking about.

if I were to hire on with sammons, would I have to take a physical @ their dr. or can I use my own?
-
The only thing a trucking company should do is have you take a drug test if your physical is current. There are tons of trucking company's out there that dont make the driver jump through all these hoops for no reason.
If they dont want to show you a copy of the lease and want to play games.....I would move on. Trust me on this. -

Moglar, what is the interest rate on the lease purchases?
