Its not your truck. Understand that. Fleece purchase drivers have no skin in the game. They have literally nothing invested. The truck is not in your name. Heck...Sammons isnt even listed as a lien holder!! What...you think because you scribble on a LP contract you are an owner operator. LOL:biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559: You are an employee!! Not a contractor. Better take a hard look at the recent lawsuits from so called "contractors" at other fleece purchase companies lol. BTW the "employees" won. Sticking feathers in your butt does not make you a chicken.

Its way different when you are fully responsible for your own truck, or if you have bank payments. (yes your name is on the title and your butt is on the line for payments) :bounce:

That's funny, I don't see any difference in my work ethic or the way I decide which loads to take now that the truck is paid for. Guess I'm not an owner operator yet, I just own my truck and operate my business. According to moglar your not an owner operator unless the bank owns your truck

If you have a truck through a bank YOU HAVE A TITLE WITH YOUR NAME ON IT AND THE BANK AS THE LIEN HOLDER!:protest: You have total rights to the truck and you can go and do what you want with it.

You have no rights as a rent purchase driver. What........ you scribble on a piece of paper at orientation and you own a trucking business!! :violent1:

I love the way some carriers try to brain wash drivers that they own a business and they are contractors. You better look at the recent law suits that came down against trucking companies that play the "business owner/contractor" game. The companies all got sued and lost. Courts rules that they are employees....not contractors. The test the court used is how much total control you have over your business. The truck is not yours and you have to operate the way the company tells you. Lets not forget about those bogus "escrow accounts" they force you to set up with them. Want me to continue? You have no say and no right what so ever to the equipment. You cant even run your own base plate! Why....cause the truck is not yours and you have no right to it! Oh I forgot...you can choose your own freight. Well guess what...that does not qualify!

Its a shame some of these carriers use late night "infomercial" style tactics to convince fleece purchase drivers drivers to fall for this scam. :banghead::banghead::banghead: Sigh

Being an owner operator is when you can exercise total control of your business anyway you want regardless.

PS. There are more law suits in the pipeline for some of these fleece purchase/contract scams. More to come!!!:biggrin_25522:

My name is on the title, but there is no lienholder, I own it 100%. We are not told how to run our trucks, or our business. Only escrow account I've ever had is for licencing. Never had a maintenance account, I can manage my own money. I can haul virtually anyone's freight, unlike most carriers. A smart businessman uses other people's money for start up, this ain't my first rodeo.

If that is the case you are not a fleece purchase driver. If you read my post it is specifically directed to the poor fleece purchase suckers.

So many times you contradicted yourself. Many recruiters get on here and fanboys to misrepresent what being an owner operator is......and running a business. To the would be victims of the fleece purchase reading this.......don't do it. You have been warned.

Typical attitude for you, calling me a liar because your proven wrong again. I never contradicted myself, only told the truth, which doesn't fit your agenda. I don't know who you think you are to "warn" me, I fear you about as much as I do a two year old. The only reason I have even bothered with this all is because people should know that there are a few good L/P deals out there. I am a true owner operator, I own my truck, not the carrier, not the bank, I doubt you can say the same. I am a fan of Sammons, it is a good fit for me, I almost made a big mistake and switched over to where you are, even was approved, but, decided that would be step backward. I'm done with this, go try to bully someone else, it ain't working with me.

Never used the term liar....you did lol. There is no such thing as a good fleece purchase deal from a carrier. NONE!! Shows how much you really know. It is clear you are a company shill or recruiter.

Taking a shot of whiskey and considering this thread dead to me..... Not worth my energy to argue with a recruiter.
