And to think they don't even worry if they hold you you. That is an outrageous amount for a late fee.

I don't know of what you do about something like this. I suppose they figure the chain is broken and the results of the late to them; how many people did it affect down the line when the load wasn't there to be taken care of. I doubt if they care if you were broke down, hung in weather or whatever.
Husband had to pay one late fee at CRE when he was there when he picked up a student driver and had to repower a load, it was only around $105.00 though. -

I have nothing that states that there would be a late charge on this load, they told me to go ahead and send the truck in. I did sign a contract with them when I first started saying something like I will protect them if something happens. But I did not know there was any late charge on this load and did not find out anything until a week and a half after it delivered

There are other butcher factories that have the same problems. Makes you wish you could be a vegetarian after visiting them. Budweiser is infamous for overloading trailers as well. Before you go into those black holes of contempt for mankind make sure you top off your tanks first and if that isn't enough then refuse to do business with them. A smaller trucking company might fire you but a bigger trucking company is more likely to accept that they can't treat their good drivers like witless rookies.

Today's two faced way of doing business should be addressed publicly and exposed for what it is. The republicans want free market Ayn Rand Capitalism and let the consumer beware and the democrats want to micromanage every aspect of business to absurdity. We deserve the best of both worlds, not the worst of both worlds like we have now.

The chicken business is tough for sure...not sure if there are very many good ones ....all take too long to load...push our waits...and will claim you for anything...plus rates are tough...must be something better out there

The meat industry is full of corruption from the animal to the consumer. And this is NOT some vegetarian point of view. Agribusiness beyond that is guilty or corruption as well. The point is if you allow someone to continue their corruption, they will only get worse, not better. So it is no surprise that they will have disrespect for drivers as well. But be aware of their needs if possible. Often they are not decent enough to let you know because their consciences are seared already. Soylent Green is here in principle already if not in fact. Every day they continue to persuade our lawmakers to to allow them to deceive their consumers about the contents and handling of their "food". Speak out and report what you see to others, the public, and those who can and will change things for the better.

The two worst Sanderson Farms are the ones in Waco, TX and Laurel, MS. I arrived at Sanderson in Waco at 10:30am on a Friday morning, and left there at 6 am Saturday. Then the one in Laurel, I arrived at 2:30pm and was told that they would load me as soon as I got there. Well 2 :30 became 11pm and then at 3am finally loaded. Sad part about it I was only getting 5 pallets. I had picked up at Marshall Durbin in Hattiesburg with 8 trucks ahead of me and was still out of there in 2 hrs
Dominick253 and NavigatorWife Thank this.
