I just want to say this is the best company by far I have ever worked for. The orientation is short and to the point, the trucks are top of the line ( I got a 2015 straight out of orientation ). I was a class of 1 and they don't seem to hire a lot. The truck has both a apu and bunk heater, and fridge. Run 70mph, electronic logs. I have yet to have to wait on a load no matter where I deliver to. Usually pre-planned on a load ahead of time. I have ask to get home and been home every time with out a single issue. When you go in the terminal every one treats you with the up most respect. Just never seen a company this well run. And I have talked to several of the other drivers and no one has a bad thing to say about them.

Is that the black & white trucks that haul for Dick's Sporting Goods? Where are they based out of?

You must be thinking of Salson from New Jersey. I believe SAV has green trucks, and are from Minneapolis, correct?

freightliner1557, have you seen SAV pulling hopper bottom trailers, like the ones that haul grain? I saw a couple running around the twin cities...curious what SAV is using them for.

SAV is green trucks out of Coon Rapids MN. They do have a small fleet of hopper bottoms for the grain business, however their major thing is dry van freight out of Minneapolis. Load out to where ever and then reload straight back to the Minneapolis area.

Do they require experience and what's the pay, hometime & miles like? I've seen a few ads from them on Craigslist.

Good to hear there is still a decent company out there! The industry is plagued with bottom of the barrel companies that pay so low your eligible for food stamps and then they treat thier drivers like crap too.

Glad to see all of this, especially since i`m on my way to drive there! For an experienced veteran driver with a great record, clean MVR and CSA its become a nightmare to find a company you want to be at anymore. Pertty much a pig in a poke search, everybody wants you and your record but not finding many that end up treating experienced drivers with the respect they earned and deserve, or the driving position you want Guess I`ll see when i get there and have been there a while but at least its encoraging. Maby I have found home uhh well this time maby
