Each day is a new question. How about this:
    Where are the terminals?
As an east coaster, will I get jammed on the west.
What aboot this canada thing? could I be routed through the great white north Eh?
I am just afraid of being scammed into 25 day runs. Not that we could not handle it, I just think that if I have a pretty consistent home time, things will work out.
I would really like to get the skinny on the post school training. I have learned alot here but just looking for a little more detail.

Highly unlikely, you'll stay pretty much east coast-mid west.

It is likely that you would go to Canada, as far as being out.....you are required to stay out a min. of 14days.

USA Truck's home page says they serve the continental US and portions of Canada. Whether they would "force" a driver there is another question. You do need a passport and/or FAST pass to get in, however. (From the FAST fact brochure: Another benefit for FAST drivers is that the FAST ID card is also proposed as an alternative document to the passport under new travel document requirements for U.S. and Canadian citizens for land and sea travel within the Western Hemisphere.)

Personally I would like to be dispatched there occasionally. Just like the good ole USA, there are some spectacularly beautiful parts of Canada. If you never go there how would you see them? Granted, just like the good ole USA there are some, lets say, well worn parts. Gotta take the good with the bad.

Tell me about it, My wife and I did a 1,500 mile bike trip around lake ontario one year. We stopped in toronto for the night. After walking to the Keg steak house up the street, I decided to find the old Maple Leafs garden. (Hockey Junkie) Little did I realize enroute we walked smack dab into rainbow bar district. I had one hand over my junk and the other over my A@#.

It seems like in Feb they changed the Fleet manager policy completly. Now it seems like the whole company is broken up into regions based on the driver's home base.

Not only do I get just about all the home time I ask for (just ask a day early) sometimes I can "slide by the house" on the way.

Heck, I took the job to see the country and I spend a good 32% of the time on roads I grew up on.

Does USA have a flatbed operation or are the boxes only? I will be going to RoadMasters end of this month for my training. I live in Shreveport, La. there is a terminal here. I have not been out there. Would realy rather a Shreveport to Ca. and back. No home time requires at this time. Stay out as long as I like/can stand.
