Let’s see a driverless truck get out and chain up to go up snowqualmie…Wait!!!

I bet that’s the rest of the story.

Talked to some DUDE about two weeks ago that worked at one of those.

He said the only place they work correctly is interstate with no construction.

He said one sensor goes down, and the whole thing is down.

Air, rail, and even marine are light years ahead of trucking in automation and they still require a crew, I’m not too worried about it for the time being, and by the time i do start to worry I’ll probably be about done trucking anyway

They don't have an incentive to keep going if they can't see. They won't get cold, tired, out of hours, the wife won't be grumpy, they won't miss the kid's ball game, they don't worry about hitting rush hour traffic. They just pull over until its clear enough.

This self driving scam has about run its course. EV semi trucks are next.

Wasn't too long ago where self proclaimed wizards and industry experts were telling tuckers to "learn to code" because we're all going to be out of a job soon.
I remeber people talking about how it was going to happend for sure as major carriers have invested millions into this self driving thing, as if those companies weren't run by a bunch of morons as well.

    Good riddance.

JoeyJunk and Rubber duck kw Thank this.
