The serpentine belt broke on my truck. She overheated very quickly by the time I pulled over and shut it down. Hope it didn't do any damage. And oops I don't have a spare belt lol

My pantyhose has a run. I don't think it is strong enough. Thought about putting some of my fingernail polish on the run but I think it is flammable and would create more problems. I'm hoping for a cute mobile mechanic when he arrives.

OK check it, my next problem is my 14 is done in 45 minutes, I'm broke down on the side of the road. Chances are the work will not be done on the truck in time. I have some options and would welcome any advice.

    Options

    • Sit on side of road for 10 hours
    • Sit on side of road for 8 hours drive remainder of 45 or less minutes to nearby truck stop and sit for remaining 2 hours
    • Drive on using the '2 hour' rule to find a safe haven

Use the safe haven rule. You cannot stay on the side of the road. It is just not nearly close to safe. Make sure you mark it very well in your log as to the cause of needing to use the 2 hour rule.

I sure hope option three would apply in this situation since you cannot operate the truck!
